Fender USA Precision Bass 1975 Hot Rod

I first bought this bass in 2007 and sold to a good customer of mine. I had the chance to buy this one back as part of 4 basses, due to my customer downsizing his collection. I always liked this bass – it plays great and I really like the tone and look. I used it myself for a while but I just find it a bit too heavy to gig with, so as part of my own collection downsizing I’m offering it for sale.
It’s a genuine 1975 bass and the neck plate, stamps and pick up codes all verify this. The pots date to 1978 which is when, I believe, (from the original owner) that this is when it was modified, and the extra pick up added.
It is such a cool bass! It has suffered some damage in the past – the end of the headstock was broken off and re-glued. It was like this in 2007 and is still solid today – pls see pics.
Overall it’s in very good condition, including the back of the neck, and makes a great bass to gig with if you can handle the weight. (10.2lbs – I’ve had heavier precisions!)
