Ibanez Roadster Bass 1981 with original hard case

The thing I like about these Ibanez Roadsters is the incredible quality, which you can sense the moment you pick it up. Yes, its heavy (as a lot of basses from this era were) but it has a remarkably slim neck and is a joy to play.

Made in Japan with 9v active electronics. Although not particually rare, they are hard to find in this condition.

This example ticks most of the boxes I'm after when looking for a suitable bass. Has had one owner from 1985 until now, and the bass is super original and un-molested. The truss rod works smoothly and looks like its hardly ever been adjusted. The finish is great with only a few very minor marks and the electrics are untouched and work as they should, without any crackles.

Very difficult to fault - has a few chips on the headstock, the paint has come off the battery cover (Easy to re-paint if you wanted), and the body has a few light marks, but all in all pretty incredible for a 30 year old instrument!
