Aria Pro II TSB550 Bass Matsumoku made circa 1980

The guitars and basses made in the Matsumoku factory up until 1987 when the  factory shut, are now regarded by many as some of the finest instruments ever produced. The period from 1977 up to the closure in 1987 produced some superb examples.

Many people are increasingly acknowledging this and the buying good examples when still relatively cheap, as they make great playing instruments and good investments too.

This particular bass is a fine example of their superb craftsmanship at its very best and is in very good condition - just a few minor marks in the finish around the edges. Not so easy to find them like this anymore. The thru neck design and the high gloss lacquer makes it a stunning looking instrument.

This example is also the shorter scale model 32" which makes it a good choice for a guitar player who need a great bass, or someone who likes playing a more compact bass.
