Aria Pro II SB700 Bass 1980 with original hard case

This is an example of one of the best basses made in the Matsumoku factory. The quality of the instruments produced at this time is now well recognised, and quality is something that lasts - high quality then = high quality now.

The SB 700 was basically the passive version of the legendary SB1000. The construction is the same, with the beautiful neck-thru design and attractively shaped body. It was available in Walnut or Ash - this is the Walnut version. It also features the same hardware as the SB1000 - a high mass bridge and brass nut. The main difference is that the SB700 is passive with very simple controls: 1 x volume, 1 x Tone and a coil tap. If you're not so keen on the 18v preamplifier and the 6-way selector switch, and prefer to keep things simple then this is the version for you.

Lovely slim neck and 24 frets this bass makes as much sense now as it did in 1980. A great collectable vintage instrument and a very reasonable price

Not so easy t6o find in this condition - pretty much mint - and this one also has the original hardcase which is probably worth £150+ in its own right.
