Fender Custom Shop '59 Precision Bass Closet Classic 2012

Out of all of the Fender Custom Shop offerings I think the "Closet Classics" are my favourite - I love the way they manage to get the finish to crack (I think by rapid heating and cooling) it just looks so great. (This isn't over done, it's just in places on the body)

The Closet Classics are made to look like a bass that was bought new, used a bit and then put away in its case for decades before being "discovered", so lightly used with a patina of passing time.

This particular bass was made in early 2012 and is a 1959 Fender Precision in Fiesta red (The red colour actually did fade over time, so not so vibrant as a new Fiesta red guitar or bass, but actually my camera shows the colour as being a little lighter than it really is) and has one owner from new, lightly used and well looked after.

It comes with the original Fender hard case and all the case candy, including the certificate. It also has a "custom shop" tool kit which is a nice extra touch.

As you would expect, it's like "new" and very well set up with authentic sounding flatwounds.
