*****SOLD***** Chris Eccleshall Electric
Lady Guitar I
aquired this guitar from a friend (and good customer) who bought the
guitar new. It was made around 2007 and has quite an interesting story
behind it. The
Electric Lady brand was a joint venture between Chris Eccleshall and a
guitarist from Kingsbridge, Devon called Eddie Cameron. Chris Eccleshall
is a well renowned guitar maker who was once Rory Gallaghers guitar tec
and also repaired guitars for Pete Townsend after he smashed them up! Eddie
commissioned, I believe, 7 guitars from Chris to a joint design. The wood
was sourced from a plantation managed by Eddie in his day job as a tree
surgeon. The body and neck are made from Sycamore. The
flip flop paint was done by a firm in Plymouth that do custom paint jobs
on motorcycles. In some lights it looks purple, in others green to almost
grey. I've done my best to show the paint in different light settings but
don't really do it justice. In real life it looks amazing and especially
under stage lights. The
original owner decided to have the guitar converted to P90's and this work
was done by Tom Anfield a luthier from Hatt in Cornwall. The original HSH
pickups were Bare Knuckles which were custom wound for Eddie and included
(with the original scratchplate) in with the guitar, if you wanted to put
it back to standard. It's
fitted with a Wilkinson VS100 Trem and has Sperzel locking tuners. Its in
extremely good condition and comes with a Hiscox hard case. It cost £1800
when new, plus the cost of the P90’s conversion, a superb luthier built
hand made guitar. There's
a YouTube clip showing the guitar in use here:
I
also have a good quality audio track featuring the guitar which I can
email on request as I can't as yet upload to my website. Any
questions pls ask.
