Westone Concord III 1984 made by Matsumoku, Japan

Here is a great guitar made in the Matsumoku factory in 1984. Westone was quite a new brand name for them at the time, having recently changed from Electra. However, the quality is the usual fantastic Matsumoku standard.

The Concord III is a “super strat” type guitar, very powerful pick ups, good quality trem system with a lovely fast neck finished on the back in the same rather usual shade of Metallic green that the rest of the guitar is finished in – I don’t think you could sell a guitar in this colour anymore, but this was the 1980’s!

Anyway, this example is in excellent condition – it has obviously been played in its time, as there are a few minor marks around the edges, and the gold hard ware is looking a bit thin in places – but it has been very well looked after and definitely not abused. The back of the neck is 100% perfect and everything works as it should. Plenty of years left of gigging in this one and of course it can only increase in value as they become more collectable as the good, all original examples become scarce. This guitar gets very good reviews on harmony central and other guitar sites.

This one comes in the original Westone gig bag. A new Hiscox case can be supplied at a very keen price.
