1980 Fender Precision Special Bass LPB

These basses are getting more and more popular and now not so easy to find in nice unmolested original condition.

This one ticks all the boxes as far as I'm concerned - has all original parts including metal gold plated thumbrest, strap buttons and control knobs (These are quite often missing or replaced)

The wiring look all original and everything works as it should. The pots all date to 1980 (as does the serial number on the headstock) and the neck is nice and straight and the truss rod screw clean and un-messed with.

On a lot of these basses the gold is badly tarnished and the paint faded and/or discoloured, but this one is very good on both counts.

It does have a few marks, scratches and chips in the finish but overall its very good.

The sound is amazing - in passive mode it sounds like a good old Precision but when you flick to active the sound is huge and very powerful. Everything works as it should.
