Some information about this bass and the PDN series…..

* An instrument from the strictly limited "Music Man PDN Honey Roasted" series. These are guitars and basses, some of them unique and one-of-a-kind, built to individual specs exclusively for the Music Man Premier Dealer network. Using selected Music Man guitar and bass models from the current production as a basis, all these guitars and basses share unique features such as a mahogany body in the special "Honey Burst" finish, Pao Ferro fingerboard, stainless steel frets and MOP inlays, and on top of that, as a special extra feature, an extremely beautiful figured neck made of "Roasted Maple" and a colour-matching headstock. These instruments are priced very moderately, considering the numerous extra features, however, they will be instant collector's items!

* Finish: Honey Burst, High Gloss Polyester - a special PDN finish, warm and transparent, to highlight the fine wood structure. The instrument looks simply awesome! With shell pickguard and chrome hardware.

* Body: Mahogany.

* Neck: Best birdseye maple, roasted - this new special treatment by Music Man allows the performance of the neck to benefit of a thermally modified microstructure: It increases dimensional stability, resistance to temperature and humidity changes and subsequent warping, reduces density while maintaining stiffness for a lighter neck with sufficient strength, yields a microstructure similar to naturally aged woods with lower moisture content, results in more resonance and less damping, eliminates the need for hazardous chemical treatments.

Vibrational testing indicates that roasted maple exhibits clearer tone with a stronger fundamental than untreated maple samples. Back of the neck unpainted, hand oiled and waxed for a smooth satin feel. Music Man guitars are particularly so famous among musicians, because of the outstanding quality of their necks. The neck is a pleasure to grab, feels perfect to your hand and plays just fantastic!

* Scale: 34" - Standard long scale.

* Fretboard: Pau Ferro - a very noble look and feel, while the tone is somewhat similar to the more commonly used rosewood. With mother of pearl dot inlays.

* Frets: 22, high profile, wide - a perfect fretjob, another famous feature on Music Man USA guitars.

* Nut: 44,5 mm.

* Headstock: Matching the body finish (an option normally subject to an upcharge on Music Man instruments).

* Tuners: Schaller BM - placed in the 4+1 design.

* Bridge: Original Music Man USA - chrome plated, hardened steel bridge plate.

* Pickups: 2x Original Music Man USA humbuckers - with alnico magnets. The classics among the bass pickups, famous for their relentless punch and rocking character.

* Electronics: 1x volume, 1x treble, 1x mids, 1x bass, 5-way switch.
