Ovation Magnum IV Bass USA with original hard case - very good

This rare Ovation bass was made in the early 1980's and is a high end, top quality bass with many innovative features. John Entwistle of The Who had one.

It was made in the USA from solid Honduras Mahogany, and has a massive neck pick up which is a 4-pole humbucker, with each pole being individually wound and adjustable for each string. This allows for perfect volume adjustment and balancing with the bridge double pole pick up. 

Has a large fully adjustable Schaller bridge and a solid mahogany neck with graphite skunk stripe and two carbon graphite-reinforcing rods inside the neck. Very strong and stable with great tone. 

The fretboard is a beautiful dark ebony and set up with a low fast action.

Also has an active graphic slider EQ powered by 2 9v batteries.

Has a couple of dings on the edge and a few small marks on the back but overall is very good.

Comes with the original Ovation hard case.
