Fender USA ’75 Jazz Bass 2001 Special factory production in Dakota Red
This bass was made as a one-off prototype bass for the then sales manager of Fender and is finished in Dakota Red, not a colour that was available on regular production models.
As a factory special, it was most likely made by the best builders at Fender and features a matching headstock, block inlays, fully bound super slim neck, bullet truss rod with 3-bolt neck,
and a unique serial number.
The bass is in mint, almost unused condition.
It comes with the original Fender black tolex hard case, in equally good condition. It has the usual case extras including chrome covers with mute strip, lead, all paperwork and manuals,
plus a fax from the Sales manager confirming its provenance. It was first sold to Normans rare Guitars in the States, and later to Vintage and rare in London.
Unique, very special, and a superb bass. More photos available.
