This is an FGN Mighty Jazz Private Reserve Bass. Its been built as the ultimate passive Jazz bass so to speak, made by the Japanese Guitar Fujigen company in Japan, responsible for a lot of Fender Japan guitars and other prestige instruments.
Amazing quality, and top of the range for them, rather like their custom shop as far as I know.
The bass features:
A two piece ash body in tobacco burst
24 fret Maple neck with maple fingerboard
Black pearl inlay markers
Passive Jazz bass electronics with V V T controls
Black scratch plate and black hardware, hi mass bridge and gotoh vintage style tuners. Bridge is strung through body or top loading.
Really nice action and the fretwork is amazing.
The body finish is a high gloss but the neck has a really nice satin finish which is very smooth and feels great to play.
There are a couple of dings on the bass, nothing bad or noticeable and the black finish on the bridge has worn away a bit, but other than that the condition is superb.
The FGN Jazz bass in the expert range is and expensive instrument, and this bass (Private Reserve) is above that again – a lot of bass for the money. It’s really well made, top quality components and workmanship throughout, and great attention to detail.
Comes with the original hard case…..
