Lakland Skyline 44-51 Precision
I’ve had a few of the Lakland Skyline basses over the years, and they’re nice basses, always well made, well finished and built to a high standard.
This model is one of the hardest to find – their version of a 1951 Fender Precision, but with the better split coil Precision pick up. The fret work is particularly good and well finished, something that Lakland pride themselves on.
It really looks the part and has a great vintage vibe to it, with many original ’51 features such as a slab body shape made from Ash, finished in a see-thru butterscotch lacquer which really shows off the grain, and a rock maple neck with a 10″ radius.
