1989 Larrivee LS4 Guitar for sale with tweed hard case
Yellow, ebony board, Floyd Rose, totally standard, excellent 100% original condition. (It’s actually a bit darker yellow in real life – the camera shows it as being lighter than it is)
This guitar was sent to a UK music journalist who tested guitars and wrote reviews (and books) for various magazines, around 1989, and was then kept in his collection until about 1998 when I bought it from him.
It was then completely “as new”. I used it for a while in a band which is where it picked up a few lacquer chips, but I left this band in 2001 and it hasn’t been played since.
Just done a full service and set up. It plays really well, truss rod turns smoothly in both direction and the neck is arrow straight. One of the best out there.
Larrivee are well known and respected Canadian acoustic guitar maker. In the 1980’s they made  a few models of electric guitar to increase their product range, this being one of the last.
“Rare” is an over used term for vintage instruments I know, but is justified in this case. The guitar has all the great features of this era, Floyd rose, locking nut, tremelo arm – it really is a “super Strat”
The body shape is worth mentioning as it’s heavily contoured but more angular than many of its rivals – lovely to play and look at.
It comes with a tweed hard case, original owners document with serial and model number, and a full set of tools. Probably the best example out there.
