1979 Musicman Sabre Bass (Pre Ernie Ball) in natural
This bass is in very good original condition. The body and the neck both date to 1979 and all hardware, electrics and pick ups are original and untouched. The bass does show signs of use with a few dings here and there, some weather checking, plus some finish missing from the body edge in places but nothing bad or particularly noticeable. (More pictures available on request)
Designed by Leo Fender, the MusicMan Sabre bass was made between 1978-1991 and was based on the original MusicMan Stingray bass; the Sabre features the same active electronics and trademarked 3+1 tuning key headstock configuration.
The Sabre goes one step further and adds an extra pickup, pickup selector, phase switch and a bright switch, giving you a huge range of usable tones. As much as I love Stingray’s, personally I prefer to have an extra pick up which gives extra thumb positions.
Made in USA, Solid Ash body, Maple narrow neck with maple fingerboard, Contoured Body, 2 Band EQ, 2 Humbuckers, Chrome Hardware, Internal micro powered pre amp, brightness + phase in and out and pickup selector switches, Natural Gloss finish.
It’s set up with new Rotosound strings and ready to go!
Comes in a top quality flight case.
