USA made Gibson Les Paul B1 bass from 1997 (so almost vintage)
Unlike a lot of Gibson basses, this is full scale length (34″) and it’s active too.
Made from mahogany with ebony fretboard, it has 2 pick ups, 2 volumes and treble/bass boost cut.
It’s been used, with a few marks here and there, including an area of wear on the back of the neck, plus plenty of weather-checking (cracks in the finish) which look cool.  No cracks around the neck joint or nut, these are purely cosmetic. The first 5 frets show a little wear but still plenty of life in them before they will need a fret dress.
The tuners have been changed at some stage to Gotoh’s.
The truss rod works well and turns smoothly in both directions, and the truss rod nut shows no sign of mis-use and still looks new.
The neck is arrow straight, is comfortable to play and the bass has a surprisingly broad range of sounds and tones, definitely not a one trick pony.
Overall, a cool looking unusual bass, in players condition, priced accordingly.
Comes with a new tweed hard case.
