Here’s a 2016 Fender Flea Jazz Bass I’ve just got in.
I’ve had a few of the years and look out for them now, as I really rate them.
This is definitely one of the best examples I’ve had though.
It was made in 2016 so one of the earliest ones to arrive in the UK, and the pink colour is very subtle, perhaps faded a little from original over its 8 years?
Quite likely, as the finish is nitro-cellulose. Anyway, a really cool colour.
Great sound and fantastic playability. With each pick up having its own tone control, you can really blend in a great tone. The pickguard has a very matt finish and looks the part, along with the clay coloured front facing dots, and dark rosewood fretboard, plus convincing aging.
This example is in great (aged) condition – lovely super smooth neck, with 7.25″ radius and slim profile as per Flea’s own 1961 bass. Frets are all good and nicely set up.
Comes with a Fender gig bag and usual tags, sticker, manual etc.
