This is a proper old school bass, very handsome indeed. It’s now over 30 years old, a proper vintage bass in almost new condition, a real find. I was very pleased to get it.

It’s a classic P/J configuration, with the slightly unusual twist that each pick up has a volume control but no tone control at all. It actually works surprisingly well – you can blend the 2 pickups together the same as you would a Jazz, but have the option to go full Precision if you want to. I found a blend between the 2, gave me the sound I like. Not having a tone control wasn’t a problem, tbh, most people leave them wide open anyway, and all amps have plenty of tone shaping options on them so in many ways just made getting the right sound easier.

Usual super high quality build from G & L, and being early 1990’s has the “by Leo Fender” decal on the headstock. Great quality high mass bridge, super robust and well made pickups, lovely dark rosewood fretboard.

The bass is in excellent condition, frets are like new, the back of the neck is unmarked, jsu one tiny ding and a scuff on the lower bout to show it’s even been used.

It comes with a good quality G & L hard case, also in exceptional condition.
