This is a top quality Made in Japan ESP Phoenix B bass and not to be confused with the cheaper LTD models.

Usually only available in black or 2-tone sunburst, this custom made off-white one was built for an endorsee bass player of a well-known Punk band, along with a black one which he kept. As far as I know the off-white finish was a special order and not usually available in the UK.

The quality of construction is absolutely superb with a fully bound set neck, with pearl inlaid blocks, and mahogany wings on the Thunderbird inspired body.

The neck is slim and comfortable and the action super low.

The fretboard is ebony with a super-tight grain and almost black in colour. The neck binding is white which contrasts subtly with the body which is more of a light cream colour, and looks great with the black face of the headstock (which is also reversed)

The high quality is easy to see everywhere you look on the bass, from the metal 9v battery compartment on the back, the adjustable Gotoh tuners and ESP hi mass bridge, extra jumbo frets and cool ESP inlaid block on the 12^th fret, plus powerful EMG 35DC pickups, just what you would expect from the Japanese craftsmen in ESP Custom department.

It is possibly the coolest bass on the planet and gets better the more you look at it.

It comes with the original ESP hard case, instructions and tools for the tuners, plus truss rod tool, tag and case key. Also has the original fret guard included

Absolutely superb…..

I originally bought this bass in 2011 and sold it the same year. The purchaser kept it for 11 years, hardly used it, and then contacted me last year to see if I wanted to buy it back – I did.
