SOLD: Kramer “The Duke” headless Bass with ohc

Early 1980's Kramer The Duke headless bass - £SOLD

Kramer “The Duke” Headless Bass

Headless basses were very popular in the 1980’s and this was Kramer’s model – The Duke, which featured an Aluminium neck, the last Kramer to do so.
I’ve had a few Dukes over the years but this is the best one – very original, great un-messed with condition, very little fret wear, and comes complete with the original case.
This example is the deluxe version which had the double Jazz type pick ups, usual volume and tone controls, but also benefits from a 3-way switch for series/parallel/phase selecting which the Standard Duke didn’t have.
The fretboard is made from Ebonol which is the same substance they use to make bowling balls and is extremely hard wearing. The frets have plenty of life in them and overall it’s in great condition.
A few marks here and there, but nothing bad and no cracks or repairs.
A great usable bass, perfect to travel with and also a solid investment.
