Limelight 00251 ’69 PJ Olympic White heavy relic - SOLD - click on picture to open gallery

This is a brand new Precision bass made by Limelight in the UK.
It’s based on a 1969 Precision but has an added Jazz pick up in the bridge position which was a common modification in the 1970’s.
It’s finished in nitro-cellulose in a special heavy aged Olympic White which has turned a yellowy cream, as many original ones did.
This is not an easy finish to replicate and involves building up layers of paint and aging in way that looks authentic and very cool.
It has a rosewood fretboard and red tortoiseshell guard.

Also, the Jazz pick up is made by Tune Guitar Technology from Japan, dates from the 1980’s so fits the vintage vibe,
and puts out 12k
(Usually the Jazz bridge pick up is around 7.3k) this means it’s quite a bit hotter and a better match with the P pick up.
