1979 Fender USA Precision Fretless in exceptionally good condition

This is a barely used 100% original and untouched 1979 Fender Precision fretless in brown sunburst. In 1979 Fender offered 3 new colour schemes – cherryburst, siennaburst and brownburst.

The brownburst is the least common of the 3, with siennaburst being the one you see most often. This is quite a rare bass in this colour, especially since it’s a fretless.

Condition is amazing – 100% original, untouched solder, has the serial number sticker on the underside of the scratchplate which matches the one on the headstock, pots date to 9th week of 1979, everything is original, correct and untouched. A real collectors item.

Condition-wise it’s really hard to fault, a few tiny marks and a little bit of lacquer missing from the headstock. You don’t often see them as good as this, and so much better than the refinished, messed around with examples you so often see now with sky high prices.

This is a quality vintage bass. Comes with both chrome covers (original) and the original (non Fender) hard case.
