NEW Limelight ’63 Precision Bass, surf green over white with J width neck
This is a brand new Precision bass made by Limelight in the UK.
It’s based on a 1963 Precision in custom surf green.
It’s finished in nitro-cellulose in surf green over a white undercoat, the same as Fender did back in the day.
This is not an easy finish to achieve and involves building up layers of paint and aging in way that looks authentic with touches of the white undercoat showing through.
It has a rosewood fretboard with clay dots and a parchment guard.
Very light at about 8lbs
