Here’s a very handsome bass – it’s the old style Sandberg VM4 in natural swamp ash, featuring a vintage tinted neck with rosewood fretboard, which has the benefit of having front facing white dots, plus Mint pickguard – whoever specc’d this up new has great taste!

The swamp ash body and white dots were extra cost items at the time, and the rosewood fretboard, although standard at the time, is now an extra cost option as pau ferro is the default now . It’s also a very nice example of rosewood as it’s very dark and tightly grained.

A beautiful looking bass made with the best woods.

Has the usual Sandberg controls – vol/blend/treble boost cut/bass boost cut plus it has a coil tap for the Stingray type pickup which cuts it down to one coil for that old skool P/J sound – a versatile bass for sure.

Condition is excellent, frets are barely marked, back of the neck is perfect, truss rod turns smoothly, and comes with the original Sandberg gig bag (slightly worn but absolutely fine) plus manual, certificate and tools.

Exactly the sort of bass I’d use…..
