Warwick Stevenson Custom made 6 String Bass
This bass is a superior quality UK made bass, being handcrafted by the master luthier and bass player Warwick Stevenson, with incredible attention to detail and using only the finest woods and components.
He has been making instruments for over 30 years and once made a Mandolin for George Harrison.
It was once owned by Karl Brunsden of The Australian Pink Floyd.
It was made in 2002. Features an ADM bridge, Schaller tuners, and an ebony fretboard. The neck is made of Maple and Wenge. The body has a mahogany back, spruce centre and Santos Rosewood top.
It has beautiful mother-of-pearl and abalone fretboard inlays.
The Kent Armstrong pick-ups in conjunction with the EMG active circuitry, gives a huge range of useable tones and every note rings out with great clarity and sustain. The active circuit gives you plenty of bass, mid and treble cut and boost and is very quiet. There is also a mid frequency sweep knob that allows you to select the mid frequency you would like to cut or boost.
It also has a very slim neck profile, so although it’s a six-string it is still very fast and easy to play.
It has 2 truss rods (the ends covered by a solid silver plate engraved with Warwick’s initials) and adjust the opposite way to most (i.e. anti-clockwise will straighten the neck)
