SOLD: Yamaha SBV800MF “Flying Samurai” Bass

Yamaha SBV800MF "Flying Samurai" Bass with hard case SOLD

Yamaha SBV800MF “Flying Samurai”

Here’s a bass I’ve kept for a long time, but I’m thinning down my collection and this one is going up for sale.
It’s a Yamaha SBV800MF “Flying Samurai” The MF stands for Miki Furukawa who was the bassist for the Japanese group Supercar.
Not a band I’d heard of, but popular enough in Japan to earn their bassist her own signature model. Most of the production was sold in Japan, and not many made it overseas.
I got it from the original owner who bought it new, and other than the odd trip out of the case the bass has hardly been held, let alone played. Basically it’s brand new.
The colour is a very vivid Candy apple aquamarine green/blue finish, and I haven’t managed to capture the true colour very well. In the pictures it appears more blue than it is in real life, however, you definitely won’t be disappointed.
A high spec bass, with rosewood fretboard which is nice and dark plus bound fretboard edges. Also has glow in the dark fret markers on the edge. Matching headstock, P/J pickup configuration and the controls are Vol/Vol/Tone.
The neck is arrow straight, the action low and the neck feels slim and fast to play.
Comes in a quality hard case.
