Another one I’ve had in my collection for ages. It’s the holy grail of JV Strats, a 1983 ’62 reissue export model in absolutely beautiful, mint condition.

Some of the first Fender’s to be Made In Japan, after production stopped for a while in the US after CBS sold Fender inc, and before production recommenced in Corona, was the “JV” range.

The Japanese had something to prove with these guitars, and were determined to produce something spectacular. Right from the very first reviews, these guitars were recognized as being exceptional quality, and their status has only grown over time.

This particular example is in amazing, mint condition. Has all the correct features you would expect such as USA pickups and pots, cloth wiring, raised D and G pickup poles, penciled date on the neck heel, Kluson tuners, dark rosewood fretboard and correct headstock logo.

Very nice to play, the truss rod turns smoothly, works as it should, and the neck is perfectly adjusted. Sounds great.

Comes in a period correct hard case. I bought it from the family of the gentleman who bought it new, and I still have their notes detailing some of its history.

A rare chance to buy a super-clean, unmolested, 100% original example.
