It’s not an aggressive preamp like some can be, although adds what a preamp can in a smooth and controllable way.
No active/passive switch or pull/push knob as they didn’t do that thing back them. It was also only made for the Japanese market, but as with others it found its way over here at some point.
Easily cuts it with anything modern, but this bass is 44 years old and extremely cool as well.
It’s a medium scale bass at 32″ and comes in the correct Yamaha gig bag, also in great condition.
A superb vintage bass in outstanding condition.
