The colour is officially Dark British Racing Green metallic, but most of the time it looks black, and nothing wrong with that either! If you wanted a black bass then do consider this one….

However, in bright light (or stage lights) you can see the metallic paint and the green colour more clearly.

It’s subtle and beautiful.

Currently strung with ground wounds, they suit the bass and get that lovely vintage tone – brighter than flats but not zingy.

The weather checking is great, the parchment guard looks good against the dark paint, and the whole bass oozes old school charm and quality. A joy to play and own. (one of the latches on the case isn’t working)
